As a mechanical operator, you master metalworking techniques such as drilling, truning, milling and use it to manufacture high-tech workpieces.

Your work

As a mechanical operator, you master metalworking techniques such as drilling, turning, milling and use it to manufacture high-tech workpieces for the manufacture of our roboters and ventilation devices.

If prototype parts or series parts are manufactured on our computer-controlled machines, you monitor the production process, intervene if necessary and check the manufactured parts with modern measuring instruments.

We deliberately designed the training as a mechanical operator to be practical, on conventional turning, drilling and milling machines in a modern training workshop that is located in the middle of production. This provides a link to practice and an exchange with experienced professionals.

As an logistics operator EFZ, you are in the middle of the action and the linchpin of production at Hamilton.

Your work

As an logistics Operator EFZ specializing in warehouse management, you receive goods in the incoming goods department. After the incoming goods inspection you register the articles into the system with the help of the computer. You check inventory and if necessary, items have to be relocated. As a logistics operator, you have to pick the goods upon customer order, transport them with the help of forklifts and pack them properly.

Your work

You perform administrative tasks in the purchasing department, in order processing or in finance and accounting. You take care of offers and write orders, others process orders and create invoices, while other tasks take over from payment transactions and manage the bookkeeping.

Automation Technician EFZ

As an automation technician you can use your talent for technology. You will deal with automated systems and their mechanical components as well as with electrical controls.

Your work

As an automation technician, you build electrical controls, apparatus, machines, systems or automation systems, put them into operation or maintain them. You plan your projects and look for the optimal solutions for programmed control and automation tasks. For the implementation of your project, you draw your own electrical diagrams, wire the system and write the program. This varied job teaches you skills in electrical engineering, pneumatics, mechanics and in different programming languages. Hamilton manufactures fully automated storage systems for medical samples. An important task of the automation technician is to wire the systems and put them into operation. The Hamilton apprentices also work closely with the development departments to set up and commission new prototypes.
