How you can make a difference:

  • Have expert knowledge of Technical Writing
  • Create and maintain end-user documentation (Operator’s Manuals, Instructions for use, Quick Guides/Reference Cards, User Guides, Application Notes, and the like), using available source documents, full range of specifications, project documentation, extended project and Hamilton team members at all levels, and direct work with the components
  • Support various forms of documentation projects
  • Project management
  • Able to work closely with Regulatory and related groups to ensure our documentation meets all standards/ requirements
  • Be able to do basic graphics editing to support artwork for the documentation
  • Provide documentation services (editing, creating FSNs, English review, etc) for other projects as requested

That’s what you bring along:

  • Experience developing documentation for an end-user audience, with ability to quickly learn and understand complex procedures and concepts, as well as work with and understand functional engineering specifications for the software features/functions and the user interface

  •  Effective at working closely with members of the cross-functional and writing teams to learn what is needed and determine how to best present it; able to integrate with existing work processes and documentation styles/style guide; able to work in a collaborative enviroment
  •  Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and work attitude; good time management, able to work well with tight schedules and challenging projects, as well as with changes in product and project plans
  •  Good project management skills, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  •  Self-starter, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; able to manage project issues directly with cross-functional team members; ability to multi-task, solve problems, and accept feedback
  •  Experience with FrameMaker, InDesign, Acrobat, and XML-based content management system (we use the Quanos ST4 CMS); adept at learning new tools as needed; strong computer skills in general
  •  Native-level English required – we write in US English; able to speak German or willing to learn
  •  Background in the sciences and/or high tech preferred
  •  Good graphic or graphic visualization skills helpful (we work closely with a graphic illustrator)
