With passion, patience and trust to success

With great dedication, patience, and a keen sense for people, Tanja Capadrutt has built her career at Hamilton – and finds not only balance but also inspiration for her professional life through horseback riding. Her story illustrates how personal passion and professional growth can go hand in hand.

Tanja Capadrutt has been an integral part of the Hamilton family since her apprenticeship. What once began as a trial apprenticeship has developed into a fulfilling career in Human Resources. In addition to her professional passion, she finds her love of horses not only a beneficial balance, but also a valuable school of life.

From trial apprenticeship to HR Consultant: Tanja’s path at Hamilton

Tanja embarked on her career path at Hamilton at an early stage. “It all started with a trial apprenticeship. Even then, I was impressed by the team and the family atmosphere here, so I decided to do my apprenticeship here.” Tanja completed a commercial apprenticeship and gained valuable experience in the areas of accounting, purchasing and sales. After successfully completing her apprenticeship, she decided to stay: “I felt at home at Hamilton right from the start – the atmosphere is just great.”

Tanja joined Human Resources because she really enjoys contact with people and because she was able to develop further in this area. She initially gained experience as an HR Assistant and was quickly given the opportunity to demonstrate her potential as an HR Consultant. She is now also responsible for recruiting new employees and supporting managers, among other things. Tanja’s day-to-day work is varied: “I support the entire selection process – from the job advertisement and interviews through to the final decision. I also provide support when people join and leave the company and when there are internal changes.”

The opportunity to work with people is what Tanja appreciates most about her job. “Working with others is varied and enriching. No two days are the same and I learn something new every day – it’s always exciting. ”

Riding – a life school for patience and trust

In her free time, riding plays a central role in Tanja’s life. “I’ve been riding since I was seven years old – that’s when I got my first ponies. Since then, riding has been an integral part of my life. My connection to horses goes far beyond the sporting aspect – it means a lot to me.”

For Tanja, the relationship with her horses is more than just a hobby. “Horses are incredibly sensitive and perceive far more than we can express with words. They react to body language, mood and energy – that fascinates me every time.” This connection is also reflected in her work. “Riding teaches you patience and that progress takes time. I also take that into my job. Sometimes you have to take a step back in order to move forward in the long term.”

Parallels between riding and everyday working life

In addition to valuable life experiences, riding offers Tanja an important balance. “Riding allows me to clear my head and recharge my batteries. After a stressful week at the office, spending time with my horses is like a little break. It gives me motivation for the next working day.”

Trust is a central component of riding. The trust that develops between Tanja and her horses is a process that is also crucial in the working world. According to Tanja, mutual trust is the basis for good cooperation and for a team to achieve its goals together.

Mastering challenges with calmness

Keeping calm in stressful situations is essential for Tanja – both in equestrian sport and at work. “If I get hectic myself, it spreads to others. That’s why I try to consciously radiate calmness and communicate clearly. Nervousness is contagious, so it’s important to radiate confidence.”

For Tanja, leadership, whether with horses or people, requires a clear and respectful approach. “It’s not about simply giving instructions. It’s important to listen and understand needs. That applies to riding just as much as it does to work.”

A Vision for the Future

Both professionally and personally, Tanja strives for continuous development. “I want to further expand my skills in HR and establish myself as a competent partner within the company.” She follows an approach that combines professional and personal goals. “For me, it’s about having a positive impact on my environment and helping others achieve their goals.”

Final Thoughts

Being part of the Hamilton family fills Tanja with pride. “Hamilton embodies values like respect, collaboration, and innovation, which are very important to me personally. I appreciate the balance between professionalism and a friendly atmosphere that defines the work environment at Hamilton. That is something that makes me proud and motivates me to give my best every day.”

Tanja is an inspiring example of how passion, patience, and trust can pay off – whether at Hamilton or in horseback riding.
