The Business Unit Robotics develops, produces and distributes pipetting robots for the automation of liquid handling processes for a wide range of customers from the pharmaceutical and food industry, all the way to cell and DNA research.
How you can make a difference:

Own and drive the overall Genomics & Multiomics Business Area strategy, aligning market, portfolio, and technology direction with corporate objectives and long-term growth ambitions.

Take accountability for the Business Area performance, including portfolio success in sales and market development, strategic investments, and contribution to revenue and profitability.

Define and prioritize the Genomics & Multiomics portfolio roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs, scientific trends, and automation opportunities.

Lead and develop cross-functional teams across Product Management, Applications, R&D, and Market Development, ensuring clear goals, strong collaboration, and high-performance execution in the HQ and field (EMEA with focus on Europe). Total of 15-25 people.

Act as the senior authority on Genomics & Multiomics workflows, applications, and automation and data strategies, ensuring alignment with real-world customer processes and future lab paradigms.

Drive identification and evaluation of new market opportunities, disruptive technologies, and emerging applications to ensure long-term competitiveness.

Translate market insights, customer needs, and scientific developments into actionable portfolio, technology, and business strategies.

Ensure strong alignment between market strategy, product development, and go-to-market execution across all relevant functions.

Oversee and challenge major product and application initiatives, ensuring robust business cases, clear differentiation, and successful market adoption.

Engage with key customers, KOLs, and strategic partners to validate direction, strengthen market positioning, and accelerate market adoption.
That’s what you bring along:

University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or related discipline; PhD and MBA is an asset

Extensive professional experience in market-facing and strategic roles within the Genomics, Genetics domain (e.g. Market Segment Management, Product Marketing, Market Development, Sale

Deep understanding of Genomics & Multiomics workflows, applications and customer decision logic across research, pharma and industrial environments

Experience in people management, technical leadership or project management with a clear motivation to assume leadership responsibility in the future; combined with a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work

Strong communication skills, teamwork, and good German language skills are required; fluency in English is a prerequisite. If German language skills are missing, the will to learn is needed
