At our site in Italy , we sell state-of-the-art process measurement technology for customers in the biopharmaceutical, chemical and brewery industry, as well as pipetting robots to automate liquid handling processes for the pharmaceutical and food industry through to cell and DNA research.

How you can make a difference:

We are seeking for an Area Sales Manager to expand our team and improve the market penetration of our process sensor products into the Center and South Italy.

This position is responsible for developing and implementing our sales plan and requires proficiency at demonstrating and presenting the products (process sensors and associated accessories), finding new potential target customers whilst maintaining existing accounts. The position requires good technical acumen, however comprehensive product training will be given.

That’s what you bring along:

To fill this position successfully you have a technical education, an engineer degree around electronic, process chemistry or biological technology or you have a commercial background with extensive sales and profound technical experience of the Biotech / Pharma / Chemical market and Upstream / Downstream processes. Experience in pharmaceutical water treatment industry is an advantage, but not essential. You have at least 2 years field sales experience in industrial sales management skills as well as experience in acquisition and price negotiations with customers.

You are happy to travel frequently (approximately 70% travel mainly in Center and South Italy, occasionally abroad) and you have previous experience within a similar industrial organization in sales or technical sales role with commercial experience. Knowledge regarding process sensors used in the above mentioned industries' processes is an advantage.

You possess good computer skills (knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Windows, CRM system, LinkedIn).

You have demonstrated in your prior sales role excellent business judgment as well as sales management skills. You operate as a commercial savvy and are well skilled at managing the sales process from end to end (e.g., first customer contact, sales, pricing, managing customer relations to after sales support). You are customer focused and build and sustain positive and collaborative relationships with your customers (internal and external). You are a self-motivated person and a team player with strong communication skills. You are used to work in international teams as an integral part of it.

You are working from your home office within the above-described region and are prepared to frequently travel (about 70% of your time). You will be working in an international and highly successful company with a very interesting and dynamically growing product and market segment.
