The Business Unit Process Analytics develops, produces, and distributes state-of-the-art process measurement technology for customers in the biopharmaceutical, chemical and brewing industry. Our product portfolio includes sensors for critical process parameters such as pH value, oxygen and sensors for measuring cell density, which are extremely important in biological processes and unique worldwide thanks to their innovative technology.

Your Mission

As Market Segment Manager – Chemical Process Analytics, you will be the driving force behind our strategic growth into the chemical industry. You will develop a deep understanding of the needs, trends, and dynamics of the process analytics market within the chemical industry and are responsible to aligning Hamilton’s solutions with those demands. Your market knowledge, entrepreneurial mindset, and strategic vision will directly shape the future of our business unit.

Your Responsibilities

  • Market Development & Expansion: Analyze the chemical process industry, identify market opportunities, and develop strategies to drive growth and market penetration.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and execute go-to-market plans, including positioning, value proposition, and portfolio strategy.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the internal and external subject matter expert (SME) for the chemical process analytics market and represent Hamilton at industry events, conferences, and key accounts.
  • Market Research & Trend Analysis: Initiate and manage market research activities to identify trends, customer needs, and regulatory developments.
  • Product & Innovation Strategy: Translate market requirements into actionable input for product development and portfolio evolution.
  • Networking & Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with industry associations, thought leaders, and strategic partners to accelerate market adoption.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, R&D, Product Management, Marketing, Production, and Customer Support to support operational growth and to ensure successful execution of market strategies.

That’s what you bring along:

  • Degree in chemical process engineering, process engineering, process analytics, industrial engineering, or a related field; an additional business degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B marketing, business development, or product management, ideally within the chemical or process industry.
  • Proven track record in launching products or building new market segments.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical strength with a solid understanding of market drivers, regulatory influences, and technology trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent English skills are required; basic German skills are highly desirable but not essential.
